Apparel OEM / ODM
Functional fabrics, small lots, specialty processing—produced in Japan.
Styleworks is a Tokyo-based apparel OEM/ODM partner, founded in 2013 by a director with 20+ years of hands-on experience in both casualwear and sportswear production. We help brand startups, cross-industry entrants, and established brands navigate the hard parts of production—material sourcing, factory matching, specialty processing like seam-tape sealing, and small-lot manufacturing—across casual, sportswear, and outdoor categories.

What we do
We work as a producer-style OEM/ODM partner: beyond sewing, we orchestrate the full production chain—materials, factory selection, specialty processing, and right-sized lots—around each project.
Material sourcing
We help you select functional and synthetic fabrics—water-repellent, stain-resistant, anti-static, soft-hand polyester, wool-like fabrics, downproof shells, and more—matched to intended use and price target.
Seam-tape construction
Waterproof and weatherproof garments built with seam-tape sealing. Available from 200 pieces per style, depending on fabric and construction.
Small-lot production
No fixed company-wide MOQ. We size lots project by project, often supporting 80–100 pieces depending on the item, fabric inventory, and processing requirements.
Production management
End-to-end coordination from spec sheets and sampling through bulk manufacturing, quality control, customs, and delivery.
Our strengths
What clients typically come to us for.
-
Depth in functional apparel
Casual, sportswear, outdoor, and lifestyle apparel, led by a director with 20+ years in both casualwear and sportswear production. Particular depth in synthetic fabrics, functional finishes, and athleisure pieces that bridge performance and lifestyle wear.
-
Producer-style sourcing
We don't lock you into a single factory. For each item, we match the right factory and processing partner—including specialty seam-tape, all-over print, and downproof construction.
-
Small-lot capability
We size lots from real-world fabric inventory and processing constraints up. Reference points: T-shirts and cut-and-sewn from ~100 pieces; seam-tape items from 200; all-over print with case examples from 80.
-
Cross-industry support
We regularly help non-apparel companies—fishing gear, sporting goods, lifestyle brands—launch their first apparel line, including spec writing and basic design support (separate scope of engagement).
Minimum lot guide
These are typical starting points. Final minimum lots vary with fabric inventory, processing capacity, and component availability. Share the item and target spec, and we will quote a feasible lot size for your project.
| Category | Lot guide | Main variables |
|---|---|---|
| T-shirts / cut-and-sewn | From ~100 pieces | Fabric inventory, number of colorways |
| Seam-tape sealed garments | From 200 pieces | Fabric, tape spec, sewing construction |
| Synthetic jackets / pants | From ~200 pieces | Sub-materials, sewing line capacity |
| All-over print | Case-by-case (80 pieces minimum on record) | Print method, processing facility, fabric width |
| Down / specialty construction | Case-by-case | Sub-materials, factory line booking |
Production flow
Typical lead time from first consultation to delivery is 13–21 weeks, depending on item complexity and fabric availability.
